Brain: Engaged

So the new work rules are going well. Whilst the increase in meds almost certainly is a major player in my confidence levels, working on being a productivity ninja* is definitely helping.  Lis also recommended another book, which I think I will investigate once I have finished getting through the others I also have on the go.  No reviews going to be here for any of them though – wait until I get back into my Netgalley reading list for that one. I’m really good at “discovering” music that everyone else seems to have been listening to for years, but I figured […]

When yes is too much 3

I’m rubbish at saying no to things and it’s not good for my health. I like to be helpful, I don’t like to let people down and I don’t like to admit that I really don’t have the skills to meet a request.  I need to learn to say no, I need the confidence to say “No”. Especially at work.  The toilets in our building are always the warmest rooms in the place.  I admit I have […]

And so it begins 1

“May you live all the days of your life.” ~ Jonathan Swift One of the fantastic thing about humans is how we all experience the world around us in our own unique way.  Even our senses are tuned differently – we’re perceiving the colours of this website differently and probably would do even if we were both looking at exactly the same monitor. My ears “tune in” to the bass lines of music, yours might do so on vocals. I can’t stand the smell or taste of coffee but there’s a good chance you’re one of those crazy folk who […]
